Shiba Inu (SHIB) started as a meme token and has evolved into a decentralized ecosystem. A significant portion of its initial supply was sent to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.

Initial Distribution and Donation

• 50% of the initial SHIB supply was allocated to Vitalik Buterin's Ethereum wallet.
• Buterin donated 10% of his SHIB holdings to a COVID-19 relief effort in India.
• The remaining 40% of his SHIB was permanently burned.

Shiba Inu Ecosystem Developments

The Shiba Inu team has launched a decentralized exchange named Shibaswap. This platform introduced two additional tokens:

• LEASH: A token with a limited supply, designed to provide incentives within Shibaswap.
• BONE: The governance token, allowing holders to vote on proposals within the Doggy DAO.
